    Easy to Use and Effective

Posted by James Zellmer on 15th Aug 2024

Using the cut-out cloth pads and a cleaning rod on a 12 ga, is frustrating. The cleaning pads are too small to cover the whole diameter of the barrel (I haven't found any larger). The Barrel Buddy completely fills the barrel and cleaned residue, I thought I had already gotten rid of. I recommend this product for all your caliber firearms.

    12 GA

Posted by Kevin on 27th Jun 2024

the buddy worked good but it was hard to push it through the barrel straight - I have a rod for cleaning the barrel - not sure if I need an attachment. From BarrelBuddy Customer Care Team: Hello Kevin, First, thank you for reviewing the BarrelBuddy 12G size. We appreciate you taking the time to do that! You had an issue keeping the BarrelBuddy straight on the rod. To avoid this, you should use the proper size JAG attachment (12G), which will provide a larger surface than the rod itself to push the BarrelBuddy through. Hope this helps! Blessings, BarrelBuddy Customer Care Team

    Barrel Buddy

Posted by Richard Lowe on 6th Jun 2021

I got a number of Barrel Buddy patches because the regular patches I was using didn't completely clean the shotgun barrel. Holy smokes, these things are great! I don't know how I got along without them!

Good Product, but probably a bit expensive if you do a lot of shooting.

Posted by John C. Peters on 6th Jun 2021

I shoot trap twice a week, so I I use the Barrel Buddy cleaners and patches. I spray the BB with Barrel Blaster, push it into the chamber and the push it thru the barrel using a bronze brush. BARRELBUDDY RESPONSE: Mr. Peters, thanks so much for being a repeat customer. In regards to the cost of the product, we are committed to keeping our product fully American Made. We have had the opportunity to go to China and other countries for production (which would drop the price), but we do not want to do it. We hope that staying American Made is worth it. Thank you again for the review!

    Clearly better than a patch

Posted by Mike on 23rd May 2020

The first time I cleaned my 12 gauge with these I knew I was ordering more. Just pushing one through the barrel gave me a positive feeling I was really cleaning the barrel. A feeling that I've never had using a patch. I now have some for every caliber firearm I own.

    Good Addition to Gun Cleaning

Posted by John on 1st Aug 2018

I've been using this product for about 6 months and while I find it a good addition to my gun cleaning process, I still use patches. I use the Barrel Buddy soaked in CLP first, followed by a wire brush.
