​Illegal for a Church to Have Armed Security

You may find this hard to believe, but yes, there is a bill being pushed by Democrats that would make it illegal for a church to have armed security. This is astonishing, especially considering recent events such as the incident at Joel Osteen's church, the shooting at a school in Tennessee by Audrey Elizabeth Hale, a Nashville resident who identified as a transgender woman, and the undeniable increase in violence at synagogues, particularly since the October 7th attack by Hamas.

Churches are extremely soft targets, and this law would only make them more vulnerable to violence.

Here is an example of what the law would entail: If an active shooting situation occurred and the shooter was killed or injured by the church security team, the proposed law would subject members of the security team to criminal penalties ranging from 5 years to life in prison.

This is completely irrational. We have a right to defend our lives, but that doesn’t seem to matter to these legislators. Consider this: someone intent on causing mass slaughter must be allowed to proceed, and if you stop them with lethal force, you go to prison.
